I use my smartphone for all my pictures and videos.

The smartphone camera flattens things.

I like to use that flattening effect.

I think leaves on the ground look good.

Sometimes they make nice compositions with the road markings or gaps in the pavement.

I have a lot of videos of people into and out of a still shot.

My original inspiration comes from the film Lake Tahoe (2008), directed by Fernando Eimbcke.

I watched it in 2009 and it has
influenced how I film since. Whoops!

After visiting Japan in December 2025, a friend suggested that I try taking my videos outside of Instagram.

I used a TV in my bedroom to experiment with videos as layers, as performances and as sculptures.

I'm still experimenting with this. It would be nice to show other people because it looks really really good in real life.

Lots of funny stuff happens with people everyday.

Just need to wait around for it to happen.

I made a music video with Danisina in April 2025.

It was filmed using a MiniDV camera, something that I'm intimately familiar with from my childhood.
